Allie Morrison is a sophomore at Seattle Academy, a year-round basketball player with an interest in entrepreneurship. As a freshman, she was named Most Valuable Player when her school finished second in districts; she also plays for the elite team at Northside Swarm [Winter Term, 2015-2016].
Lily Gustafson is a senior at Shorewood High School, where she is a four-year starter and three-year captain on the girls’ basketball team. She is also the starting center on the elite team for Edmonds Sports Academy. Lily served as the sports editor on the school newspaper as a junior, and is now the co-editor-in-chief [Winter Term, 2015-2016]
Melina Monlux is a junior at Ballard High School, where she played varsity basketball for three years. As a sophomore, she was her team’s leading scorer, and was voted captain her junior year. After a series of concussions ended her basketball career this year, she switched her focus to tennis. She has a dusty old record collection, and plans on majoring in music business in college [Spring Term, 2016]
Marika Kromberg is a senior at Ingraham High School, and she has been playing basketball since the 3rd grade. She loves politics, STEM, and traveling [Winter Term, 2016-2017]
Davi Borromeo is a sophomore student at Shorewood high school, along with playing both basketball and volleyball for the T-Birds. Davi was the only freshman to swing JV/Varsity for basketball last year. She loves to write and also has an interest in zoology and conservation [Winter Term, 2016-2017]
Bethany Eldridge is a current Junior at Lower Merion High School in Pennsylvania. She is on both the varsity basketball and ultimate Frisbee teams, and is a dedicated women’s athlete. Bethany is a current editor for the Features section of her school newspaper and plays drums in the school’s band. She has had work published in “Creative Communication”, and is interested in studying politics and creative writing in her next level of education [Spring Term, 2017]
Olivia Skibiel is a sophomore at Jackson High School in Washington and plays varsity basketball and volleyball where, as a freshman, she was a starter on the basketball squad. This past year Olivia was also recognized on the All-Wesco 4A Second Team. Her AAU club is Tree of Hope, out of Seattle. She is also involved in ASB at school, as a member of Congress for her class of 2019 [Spring Term, 2017]
